Important information before any booking
Accreditation
Is the official guarantee that your Dermatologist continues to train throughout her or his career.
Consultations with Accredited Doctors are better reimbursed by Belgian health insurance.
Conventioning status
Is the fact of respecting fully, in part or not, the fees suggested by the INAMI, for medical services subject
to reimbursement from Belgian health insurance.
The conventioning status modifies the patient’s share of the fees but does not modify the reimbursement
share of medical services subject to insurance coverage.
The conventioning status does not impact non-reimbursed medical services (aesthetic or outside
reimbursement criteria).
•Bring your identity card (or national number - for kids without an identity card).
•Take your disposition to arrive on time.
Late patients will have a shortened consultation accordingly, to respect the next patient appointment.
•Come with max 2 well-circumscribed medical situations to address. Mention the most important first.
Longer lists will be dealt with through several appointments.
•Bring a written list of your medications.
•Bring a paper copy of any medical results useful to the consultation (blood test, echography, …)
•If you need a document from the Dermatologist, do mention it during the consultation.
(presence attestation, filling of complementary insurance-specific documents, …)
•Wear easy clothing, if removal is required - allowing more time for your consultation.
If a lesion removal is required, the lesion will be sent to an external laboratory for analysis.
(Histological analysis +/- immunostaining)
The Lab will send you an invoice for its service (+ possibly a second invoice later if immunostaining is
required).
Your insurance covers most of this cost.
Consultation by appointment only.
Some medical situations unexpectedly require more time than planned.
Therefore, the dermatologist can run late in the consultation schedule.
You will nevertheless always receive full attention when your turn comes.
Preparing your consultation ahead ensures you benefit fully from it.
